Micro-Finance
Microfinance is proven as an effective tool in poverty eradication. It shows the significant increment in income of the borrowers’. Although Bangladesh is a pioneer in micro-financing, however, this financing work is not well established in the communities we work. For this reason, we want to introduce micro-financing in our work areas on a large scale. We will mainly provide micro-credit financing to fund economic activities that can generate and increase income
Objectives
- To reduce poverty amongst the poor and low- income household in the community
- To empower individuals, increase wealth and distribute additional wealth to Community members through establishment of a Member’s Cooperative
- To develop a more comprehensive program to assist, guide and empower low-income households
- Access to capital and infrastructure for small scale businesses
- To create entrepreneurs from the poor and low-income family
- Financial resources development through loan saving micro-finance activities with the co-operative system.
- To increase income-generating activities for low-income families through individual and collective business development.
- To provide continuous financial assistance, guidance and training to entrepreneurs from the poor and low-income household.
Access to Land for all Program
In this community, many households have no ownership of personal land property. For this reason, they are heavily dependent on the land of others for living and agriculture. This is one of the main barriers for them to involve in the decision making process. For this reason, we want to negotiate with the government to provide government land to these poor people. At the same time, loans with nominal interest rate will be provided for purchasing agricultural land.
Objectives
- To ensure access of land to everyone for community empowerment
- Negotiating with governmental organizations to ensure access to governmental ‘Khas’ land
- Providing loans with nominal interest rate for purchasing agricultural land.
