The poor people of the community are very much ignorant about the adverse impact of climate change on the environment and the livelihood of ordinary people. For this reason, the Trust is interested in working for saving the environment.

Safe Water & Sanitation Program

It is a necessary part of public health and environmental safety to ensure safe water and sanitation for personal health. These are the issues directly involved with the development. The situation of the public health sector is still in dire conditions due to the unequal distribution of wealth, improper guidelines and absence of planning. For this reason, AAABMKT is planning to play a vital role in achieving the goal of sanitation coverage by establishing a village sanitation center. AAABMKT will be implementing this program to create the awareness for safe water distribution and the activities of sanitation and to help to set-up alternate technology for arsenic-free safe water alongside.

Organic Agricultural Farming program

Bangladesh is an agro-based country. Almost 85% of people of this country are engaged with agriculture either directly or indirectly. Agriculture is the main economic sector due to the availability of cultivation worthy land, availability of labor, own local market etc. But the farmers of our country are neglected and deprived in various ways. The Trust wants to work for upgrading the social and economic status of the farmers. For this reason, based on the demand The agriculture sector is under threat due to unscientific excessive use of chemical fertilizer and pesticides. It is scientifically proved that these chemical products are injurious for good health. Therefore, organic agricultural products are becoming popular and having growing demand globally. For this reason, the Trust is going to introduce organic farming widely in the community.

Sustainable Fisheries and Trade Program

Fishing is one of the main professions in this community as well as in Bangladesh. But due to unscientific fishing technique, many local distinctive varieties of fishes are being lost, and aquaculture is destroyed. For this reason, the Trust is going to introduce sustainable fishing widely in the community to save local fish variety and aquatic ecosystem.

Objectives

  • To introduce sustainable fishing and environmentally responsible aquaculture
  • To raise awareness and deepen understanding of fisher folk organizations and networks on sustainable fisheries and trade
  • To popularize analyses and recommendations on sustainable fisheries and trade issues that shall anchor both policy and public advocacy
  • To build working linkages with other stakeholders in fisheries including the commercial and aquaculture sub-sectors on sustainable fisheries and trade issues
  • Adoption of responsible practices in the aquaculture sector
  • To engage government agencies concerned with fisheries management and trade on specific negotiating points.
