About Us
The Alhaj Ahed Ali Biswas Manob Kollan Trust (AAABMKT) is a non-profitable, non-governmental voluntary organization which was established for rural community development in the northeast of Bangladesh.
The Trust was established on November 13, 2007, with the keen interest of some like-minded social workers. This group had however started working for social and economic development of the underprivileged people since 1988.
At the very beginning, the work of AAABMKT was limited to education and some other social activities. AAABMKT has started the journey in large scale since 2001 with some specific community development activities like road repairing, construction of flood shelter, housing construction for the poor etc.
AAABMKT has been implementing various activities in the areas like gender equality, education, workers welfare, health and sanitation etc. to empower and ensure security of livelihood of the deprived poor people of the society.
At present, AAABMKT is implementing various development programs in Pabna successfully.
The Trust shall endeavor to become a sustainable, high performance reputable organization as well as a symbol of excellence by establishing peace, dignity and harmony for people in a democratic, poverty-free and just society.
Ensure the quality of life of people by achieving sustainable social and economic development, good governance, human rights, and gender equality and equity in the community where we operate.
Goals

- Give recognition to the people who contribute through their excellent achievements in various areas.
Objectives
- To execute the youth development program for using them as a productive workforce for community development
- To ensure adequate health care facilities for the community people
- To provide clean water supply and hygiene sanitation in the community
- To engage women in development activities
- To provide micro-credit financing for the disadvantaged members of the community
- To introduce an income-generating sustainable program for the community
- To take sustainable action for saving the environment
- To provide earning based vocational and technical training for the youth
- To introduce a school feeding program for children and youth from low-income families
- To provide support to the disabled for being self-reliant
- To reinforce villagers’ participation in planning, design, prioritizing and implementing projects
- To ensure access of land to everyone for community empowerment
- To ensure permanent housing for all members of the community
- To launch sustainable farming technique in the community
- To introduce sustainable fishing and environmentally responsible aquaculture
- To establish legal rights for all members of the community
- To ensure well-being of the transport workers in society
- To provide emergency and humanitarian aid for disadvantaged communities.
