Health Care Program

The health system of Bangladesh relies heavily on the Government or public sector for financing and setting overall policies and service delivery mechanisms. Although the health system is faced with many incredible challenges, it seems to receive little priority in terms of national resources allocation. Although there has been significant improvement in some health indicators in recent years, the government faced substantial issues concerning its capacity to plan and implement a broad range of health and population services. A significant portion of people, especially the poor, experience a wide range of health problems linked to socio-economic disparities.
Access to health care is a fundamental right to all human being. In Bangladesh, many cases, poor people are deprived of quality health care services. In rural Bangladesh, the situation is far worse. For this reason, disadvantaged communities have to pay a lot out of their pocket to meet the health service expenditure.

At present, we conduct medical camps in various places across the Pabna district, where the ordinary people are deprived of proper medical care. These medical camps run through our medical team, comprised of three male and three female doctors and six nurses. The team provides basic health check-up and provides medicines free of cost to the patients and also conducts one to one consultations on health-related matters and group sessions creating awareness for health, nutrition, safe delivery and other health-related issues.
